SABERN Foundation empowers Detroit’s underserved communities through innovative, future-forward programs in skilled trades, technology, and entrepreneurship. We equip youth and emerging leaders with the tools, training, and mindset to build lasting stability, create generational wealth, and drive their own futures — with purpose, power, and pride.

Nicole Hudgins - Founder & President

Nicole Hudgins - Founder & President

Nicole Hudgins is a visionary Business Strategist, Infrastructure and Program Development Specialist, and expert Grant Writer, recognized for transforming bold ideas into fully structured, fundable, and sustainable organizations. As the founder of SABERN Group LLC and SABERN Foundation, Nicole has designed and implemented programs that integrate workforce development, entrepreneurship, technology, and youth empowerment—impacting communities across Detroit, Michigan, and internationally. 


Born and raised in Detroit, Nicole overcame childhood poverty and the foster care system to become a straight-A student and honors graduate. In 2004, she founded The Escalady Organization, a grassroots nonprofit addressing youth violence and substance abuse. Since 2025, she is currently foundationally developing landmark initiatives including Tate Hall House, CEASEFIRE Youth Initiative, Lotus & Sage, HERizon, At the Well Ministries, Starr’s Watchful Eye Inc., Kina’s Kommunity Konnect (Georgia), D.E.T. Institute, Housing for Hero’s (Ohio), Bindu’s African Hair Heaven, and many more. 


Nicole is a pioneering policy innovator, having drafted state-level literacy and opportunity programs as well as various educational curriculum including ASD –Spectrum-based curriculum, all designed to support high-priority districts, expand paraprofessional literacy services, and establish school-based Opportunity Hubs. She works directly with state and federal agencies, bridging public policy and community impact with strategic implementation. 
Under Nicole’s leadership, SABERN Group LLC has successfully launched over a dozen nonprofits and social ventures across the U.S., providing full-spectrum infrastructure consulting including program design, governance, funding acquisition, compliance, and impact evaluation. Her work empowers emerging leaders, returning citizens, and underserved communities, ensuring they have the tools, systems, and mentorship necessary to thrive. 


A recognized force for innovation, equity, and results-driven strategy, Nicole combines lived experience with elite consulting expertise, creating opportunities that transform communities, uplift youth, and build lasting legacies.

Mouchettee Mohammad - Vice President

Director of Student Development | CEO | Community Leader | Youth & Reentry Advocate 


Mouchettee Mohammad is a Detroit-based leader renowned for his work in youth empowerment and reentry programs, helping men successfully transition back into their communities. As Director of Student Development at Team Wellness and Vice President of CFYI, he champions initiatives that foster personal growth, skill-building, and community engagement for underserved populations. 


He is the Founder and CEO of the 5Spoke Program, providing mentorship, training, and support to youth and adults seeking meaningful opportunities. A minister in the Nation of Islam, Mouchettee integrates spiritual guidance with practical mentorship, emphasizing accountability, resilience, and leadership. 


Mouchettee is also a boxing trainer, community organizer, public speaker, and private consultant, leveraging his diverse experiences to inspire transformation and create pathways for lasting success. Through decades of dedication, he has become a trusted mentor, advocate, and voice for empowerment in Detroit, positively impacting countless lives along the way.

Yolonda Jackson-Massey - Treasurer

Yolonda Jackson-Massey - Treasurer

 Educator | Academic Leader | Youth Advocate 


Yolonda M. Massey is a dedicated educator and academic leader from Detroit, committed to empowering students and fostering meaningful learning experiences. With over two decades of teaching experience in the Detroit Public Schools Community District, she has taught grades K–6 across multiple subjects, including Reading, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. 


Yolonda has served in numerous leadership roles, including 6th Grade Team Leader, Principal Intern, and Youth Director at Greater Rising Star M.B.C., where she oversees youth programs, mentors student leaders, and coordinates community engagement initiatives. She is also a Bosch Eco + STEM Teach Grant recipient, having developed and led innovative STEM programs that sparked students’ interest in science, technology, and mathematics, while increasing their confidence and academic performance.


Yolonda's professional achievements are complemented by her strong academic foundation, holding an Ed.S. in Teaching & Learning, an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, and a B.S. in Elementary Education with a Mathematics major. Yolonda is also pursuing her Ed.D. in Curriculum & Teaching, reflecting her lifelong commitment to educational excellence and innovation. 


Passionate about mentorship, community impact, and student success, Yolonda combines her deep knowledge, leadership skills, and creativity to transform learning environments, cultivate young leaders, and inspire students to reach their full potential.

Darla Morgan - Secretary

Administrator | Songwriter | Music Producer | Problem Solver | Consultant/Advisor | Convergent Thinker 


Darla D. Morgan is a seasoned problem solver and convergent thinker, known for delivering well-defined solutions efficiently across a wide range of industries. Her expertise spans real estate, mortgage services, and customer service, with over 40 years of experience ensuring client satisfaction and operational excellence. 


A creative force, Darla is also a jazz vocalist, songwriter, and music producer, collaborating with her husband and gaining mastery across music production platforms and engineering programs. She has co-hosted the TV talk show Detroit 313 and serves as announcer and coordinator for her church. 


In addition to her professional achievements, Darla has founded two LLCs in the past year to support others in their business endeavors. She is dedicated to helping clients and constituents by not only providing solutions but also educating them on the reasoning behind each approach. For Darla, true fulfillment comes from empowering others, ensuring their challenges are resolved, and fostering understanding along the way.
